Who can donate blood?
Anyone between 18–65 years of age, weighing over 45kg, and in good health can donate blood. You should not have donated blood in the last 3 months.
How often can I donate?
Whole blood can be donated every 3 months (12 weeks). Platelets can be donated every 2 weeks.
Is blood donation painful?
Most donors feel only a slight pinch at the needle insertion. The donation process takes about 10–15 minutes.
What blood groups are most needed?
All blood groups are needed, but O negative (O-) is the universal donor and is always in high demand.
How do I register as a donor?
Click "Join as Donor" at the top of the page, fill in your details and blood group, and you're in our network!
What happens after I donate?
You'll receive a verified donor badge and be notified when someone nearby needs your blood group.
